Values and Culture

It’s obvious that the very first step in creating the culture needed in any company is to articulate it. How often do we deliberately do this with clarity and asperity? Even if we manage to articulate the culture we need, it could sometimes end up being quite generic and not very distinguishing. Which right thinking company wouldn't want a performance-oriented, agile, innovative, customer-centric, collaborative culture!

 

At OST, We define a culture as a set of characteristics that sets one group of people apart from another. For example, we sometimes complement differences in the way the English act as argued to the French as the result of "cultural differences." In doing so, we take a large number of differences and accumulate them in beneath of single umbrella.

 

This is also fact that some characteristics are Tran cultural. For example, we more or less expect that all children, everywhere, will grow up to love their parents. The way they express that love and affection may depend a lot on the culture in which they are grown, but the loving feelings are culturally materialist.
